Dr. Angela M. Campbell

Angela M. Campbell, Ph.D., LPC is a brilliant, motivating and life giving woman of purpose. She spent her formative years in Detroit, Michigan as the oldest of two children, in a close-knit family of four. She is known for her transparency and humor in sharing her pain points and her personal journey to victory.  In 2018, Angela began a podcast, Hope and Encouragement for Your Journey, where she offers stories and strategies to move from challenge to victory. The comfort she received during the valley moments of her life is the comfort she shares with others who may be experiencing similar circumstances.

Angela’s first life changing experience with God occurred while she was in her mid-twenties and still working on her doctorate. She attended a singles meeting with one of her sorority sisters and her life was forever changed. As a result of that meeting and giving her life to the Lord, she ended her relationship with her boyfriend of five years, as she felt God calling her to not be unequally yoked together with an unbeliever.  Afterward, she heard God specifically say,

“Do not continue to pray for a blessing that will surely come to pass.  One minute he will be as he is, the next he will worship Me as His Father, Shepherd and Savior.  You two will get married, establish careers and reside in Texas…”

Angela saw that word fulfilled three years later, and it became the first story in her recently published anthology book, ‘God Did It, Answers to Prayers for Love and Marriage’.  A lot of “life” happened in those years where her family lived in Texas, then California, then Ohio and finally settled in Pennsylvania. She has served the Lord and the women at Life Center Ministries International for the past 23 years and has had the opportunity to travel abroad sharing Jesus in Great Britain, Malawi, Romania and the Philippines.

Angela works in higher education and has served students at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, for 17 years.  She has progressed from an adjunct professor in psychology to a counselor.  Later she served students and faculty as the Chair of Counseling and recently was promoted to the Executive Director of Assessment and Strategy in the Office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. In every position she has never forgotten the motto she and her friends spoke of in graduate school, “Everyone reach back for one”. The motto was founded with the expectation of providing hope as an example for the younger generation to use.

Whether it be in higher education, church, family or any other aspect of her life, Angela believes her God given purpose is to offer hope and draw people into faith. She firmly believes that with God, all things are indeed possible.

Angela is a three-time graduate of Western Michigan University in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology. She and her husband have been for married 28 years and have three adult daughters.
